Sama is a Saudi tech company specializing in cloud networking solutions for businesses. The name means sky in Arabic — and the sky, in this case, is literal. They live in the cloud.
The client needed an identity that communicated two things simultaneously: technology and cloud. The risk with this brief is obvious — a cloud icon with a tech font that looks like every other IT company in the market. The challenge was to make something that felt ownable, professional, and scalable across real business touchpoints.
The Arabic meaning of the name became the creative anchor. Sama — sky — gave the identity a sense of openness and elevation that pure tech branding often loses. The cloud wasn't just a literal reference to their service, it became a symbol of where their clients' businesses live and operate. That emotional layer is what separates a logo from a brand.
This project went through an extensive iteration process. Multiple directions were explored before the client connected with one of the early sketches — a reminder that sometimes the right answer is in the first instinct, not the tenth revision.
The full brand system was built to work across digital and professional environments. Typography and color were chosen to feel authoritative and modern without losing approachability. The app icon translated the brand mark into a functional digital asset. Presentation templates gave the client a complete toolkit to show up consistently in every business interaction — pitches, proposals, reports — all carrying the same visual language.
