Revive in Five is a personal growth podcast built on one premise: five minutes of real, deliberate reflection is enough to shift your entire day. The brand identity was designed to stand apart from the soft, interchangeable aesthetic that dominates the wellness podcast space, using a bold Volt and Grape color pairing, a wordmark that encodes the five-count directly into its construction, and a fluid squiggle pattern that references the physical shape of sound. The result is a brand that feels energetic and warm at the same time, direct enough to stop the scroll, human enough to make you stay.
A daily religious podcast for women. Five minutes only. Short enough to build a habit, meaningful enough to make you want more. There was no formal document handed over. Just a name, a concept, and a feeling that needed to become a visual identity.
The personal growth and religious content space - especially for women - defaults to one visual register: soft, delicate, pastel. Fonts that apologize for themselves. Colors that whisper. The challenge wasn't just to stand out from that, but to build something that felt genuinely alive. A brand that a woman could open at 7am and feel something from before a single word was read.
Instead of positioning the podcast as a wellness ritual or a self-help resource, Revive in Five was built around a single idea: intentional presence. Five minutes isn't a shortcut. It's a commitment. The brand speaks to people who are busy and imperfect and still trying, who refuse to believe that growth requires a perfect morning routine or an hour of free time. The positioning sits deliberately between high-production interview podcasts and unstructured personal diaries, a space that rewards brevity without sacrificing depth.
Women building a daily practice around their faith. They're not looking for something that feels like a wellness app. They want something that feels intentional and personal — like it was made for them specifically, not for a general audience of "women who want to grow."
Every visual decision was made to communicate energy with control. Volt green as the primary color — electric, alive, deliberately unexpected for the personal growth space. Grape purple as the anchor — warm, deep, and authoritative without being heavy. The brand personality — direct, playful, grounded, intentional — had to be felt before a single word was read. No soft gradients. No delicate type. No apologetic design choices.
Followed the same logic. Direct. Warm. Slightly playful but never hollow. This is how five minutes sounds. That's the voice the brand speaks in — the friend who texts you on a hard day and says exactly the right thing in one sentence. Not a therapist. Not a coach. Someone who has done the work and isn't performing it.
The wordmark encodes the brand promise in its construction. REV appears small and in Volt — the spark, the beginning of a thought. IVE is oversized and in Grape — the weight, the arrival. Below that, FIVE is split: F and IVE separated by five colored squares, each one a beat in the five-count. It's a timer in logotype form. That detail — the dot sequence — isn't decoration. It's the concept made visible.
One question drove the pattern: what does this podcast literally look like? A podcast is sound. Sound has a waveform. The squiggle lines across every brand surface are the physical shape of a human voice, rendered loosely, with warmth, and always at reduced opacity so they read as atmosphere rather than graphics. The pattern bleeds off every edge of the canvas. Containing it would kill the energy it exists to carry.
Seven colors, all pulled from the logo outward. Volt and Grape carry the primary tension, electric against deep. The five secondary colors map directly onto the five-dot sequence in the wordmark: Dusk, Terracotta, Blush, Lavender, and Cream as the default background. Every color in the system has a reason to exist. None of them are decorative.
